The Capno-1 is designed for
monitoring in dentistry, surgery, and pre-op preparation. Featuring VetSpecs®
proprietary digital mainstream CO2 technology, the
Capno-1 provides:
● End-tidal CO2
● Respiratory Rate
● Bar Graph Indication of
Breathing
● Digital Respiratory Sound
with Apnea Alarm
The
Capno-1
performs CO2 measurements directly inside the airway,
making it effective in all intubated veterinary patients regardless of
respiratory volume and rate,
even when motions are present.
All you need to do is to insert the CO2
sensor (see the picture above) between the endotracheal tube and the breathing circuit.
Using the Capno--1 for dentistry is much easier than using a pulse
oximeter or ECG monitor. You do not have to place a sensor on the tongue, try multiple
other spots on the
patient to find a place the SpO2 sensor can work, or attach four leads to
the patient. And unlike a SpO2 sensor or ECG leads, which may fall off when
you turn the patient, once inserted, the CO2 sensor will stay in place the whole time regardless how many times you have
to turn the patient.
A raincoat protective case is included to prevent the monitor from getting wet during dentistry. With attached a string, the Capno-1 can be hanged on the anesthesia machine.
