The DM-2 employs a VetSpecs® proprietary pressure sensor band to register pulse rate.
Simply wrap the sensor band (see the picture above) on a leg of the
patient. There is no need to clip the hair.
The DM-2 also offers
VetSpecs® airway-direct respiration technology, which
inserts an airway sensor (see the picture above) between the endotracheal
tube and the breathing circuit.

Using the DM-2 for dentistry is much easier than using a pulse oximeter or ECG monitor. You do not have to place a sensor on the tongue, try multiple other spots on the patient to find a place the SpO2 sensor can work, or attach four leads to the patient. And unlike a SpO2 sensor or ECG leads, which may fall off when you turn the patient, once placed, the airway sensor and the sensor band will stay in place the whole time regardless how many times you have to turn the patient.
A raincoat protective case is included to prevent the monitor from getting wet during dentistry. With attached a string, the DM-2 can be hanged on the anesthesia machine.
With the
DM-2 watching your patient, you can be more
focused on the procedure. Making you more productive,
the DM-2
will be one of your best investments for your dentistry.
