The PM5 automatically saves monitoring records and/or ECG tracings on a USB
flash drive (see below). Simply plug the flash drive to the USB port on the
monitor, and then take the flash drive to your computer to transfer saved
information to the computer. You can review the information, print with any office laser or ink-jet printers (on 8.5"X11" plain papers), and integrate the data to the patient's
file using your existing veterinary practice management software (compatible with all
practice management software on the market).

Unlike side-stream or micro-stream capnography, which cannot work at all in
animals with weak respiration, VetSpecs® digital mainstream capnography performs CO2 measurements directly inside the airway,
making it effective in all intubated veterinary patients regardless of
respiratory volume and rate. The PM5 provides real-time CO2
waveforms, an end-tidal CO2 reading, a respiratory rate, and a digital
respiratory sound with apnea alarm. Simply insert the CO2
sensor (see below) between the endotracheal tube and the breathing circuit.
Unlike most pulse oximeters or monitors on the market, the
PM5-A offers the next-generation digital pulse oximetry, with a wide dynamic
range to work effectively on legs and toes
as well as on the tongue. The PM5-A comes standard with two SpO2 sensors, a lingual sensor
and a leg/toe sensor (see below). The leg/toe sensor can work on the
Achilles tendons, distal legs, paws, and toes, especially useful for
monitoring in dentistry.

Available in four different sizes, suitable for animals from lizards to large dogs, VetSpecs® esophageal probes are developed specifically for registering ECG, heart rate, and core-body temperature in anesthetized patients. It takes only seconds to insert the esophageal probe. Once placed, the probe will stay in position the whole time and register large and interference-free ECG even in the smallest cats or dogs. There are no leads and sensors on the patient's body, making monitoring in veterinary patients easier than ever before.
The PM5-B/C comes standard with a set of three
esophageal probes for cats and dogs of all sizes.
VetSpecs® airway-direct respiration technology employs an airway sensor (see below) inserted between the endotracheal tube and the breathing circuit. This cost-effective technology provides real-time respiratory waveforms, a respiratory rate, and a digital respiratory sound with apnea alarm, and works effectively in all intubated veterinary patients regardless of respiratory volume and rate.

For ECG testing, simply attach three leads (see below) to the patient. The
PM5-B/C will
automatically enter into ECG mode, displaying cascaded two lines of ECG on
one screen, and
continuously save ECG on the flash drive for up
to one hour. The
monitor automatically starts saving ECG upon registering valid ECG, and
stops recording when ECG is no longer registered.
