Developed specifically for use in anesthetic recovery and dentistry The PWM3 offers effective, safe, and easy-to-use patient warming and monitoring in a compact system, suitable for both anesthetized and conscious veterinary patients. ![]() PWM3 main unit and warming pad (without outer cover) |
Use in Anesthetic Recovery and Intensive Care To use on patients in cages during anesthetic recovery and intensive care, place the warming and respiration sensing pad on the cage floor, and hang the main unit on the cage door. The PWM3 warms the patient through the pad with two temperature settings and monitors the patient’s respirations through a motion sensor inside the pad. In other wards, there are no sensors or wires attached to the patient. If it is also necessary to monitor the pulse rate, simply wrap the pulse sensor band on a leg or the tail of the patient. There is no need to clip the hair. Use in Dentistry Place the warming pad on the dental table, and hang the main unit on a nearby wall or the anesthesia machine. To monitor the pulse rate, wrap the sensor band on the tail or a hind leg of the patient. There is no need to clip the hair. To monitor the respiration, after the patient has been intubated, insert the airway respiratory sensor between the endotracheal tube and the breathing circuit. Advanced Warming Technology The PWM3 employs a state-of-the-art conductive carbon warming technology which has been widely used in neonatal field. The warming pad is operated under a safe low voltage DC, and has a built-in thermal sensor, which will automatically cut off the power to the warming pad when the pad temperature reaches the set temperature. Designed for vigorous use in the challenging veterinary field, the warming pad is durable, waterproof, flexible, and compact, with a sturdy removable cover which is washable. |
