Based on the 5.6” Flex™ display platform, the PM10 offers two parameter modules: the main module containing ECG, pulse oximetry, temperature and airway-direct respiration, and the optional noninvasive blood pressure (NIBP) module.

I. Vital Signs Monitoring

Multi-parameter Monitoring Mode

For monitoring in surgery or dentistry, the PM10 enters the multi-parameter monitoring mode, as shown above. It saves all registered waveforms and readings on a USB flash drive. Simply take the flash drive to your computer and transfer the saved data, compatible with ALL practice management software systems. You can then review the data and/or print a monitoring report, as shown below, through any office printer.

1. ECG and Esophageal Probes

For monitoring in surgery, the PM10 registers ECG, heart rate and core temperature with an esophageal probe. After the patient is intubated, insert the probe into the esophagus. Due to its proximity to the heart and ensured good contacts, the probe registers large and clean ECG tracings in even the smallest kittens. With no ECG leads attached to the patient’s body, ECG monitoring becomes easier than ever before. The esophageal probes are available in three different sizes, suitable for cats and dogs of all weight ranges.

2. Pulse Oximetry

The PM10 offers two veterinary-specific SpO2 sensors, the lingual sensor and the leg sensor. The leg sensor is designed specifically for use in dentistry. Employing a high-power light source, the leg sensor can work effectively even at sites covered with pigmented tissue and dense fur.

3. Airway-direct Respiration

The PM10 offers the VetSpecs® proprietary airway-direct respiration, which provides respiratory waveforms, a respiratory rate and respiratory sounds. This technology registers respiration directly inside the patient’s airway, and as a result works effectively even when motion is present. To obtain the airway-direct respiration, simply insert the airway sensor between the endotracheal tube and the breathing circuit after the patient is intubated.

4. Blood Pressure

The PM10 features the VetSpecs® patented noninvasive blood pressure (NIBP) technology – the volume plethysmography. This breakthrough NIBP method, which employs a cuff to occlude arterial flow and a pulse sensor band to register arterial pulsations, has been proven to be easy-to-use, accurate and effective in all cats, dogs, and other similar-sized animals. All you need to do is to wrap the cuff and the sensor band on a leg or tail of the patient.

II. ECG Testing

The PM10 features an ECG testing mode and our patented ECG limb plates (above), developed specifically for ECG monitoring in dentistry as well as ECG testing in veterinary patients. In the ECG testing mode, the PM10 displays three cascaded lines of ECG tracings on one screen, as shown above, and saves all registered ECG tracings on the USB flash drive. You may review the saved ECG tracings on your computer, print through any office printer, and save to your patient database under your existing practice management software system.

III. Blood Pressure Testing

The PM10 also offers a blood pressure testing mode. It displays a real-time pulse rate, pulse waveforms, systolic, diastolic and mean arterial pressure readings, plus the average of all measurements (shown above), and saves all registered readings on the USB flash drive. You may review the data on your computer, print out a report through any office printer, and save it in your patient database under your existing practice management software system.
