  • Heart Rate
  • Respiratory Rate
  • Rectal Temperature
  • Heartbeat Sound
  • Respiratory Sound

The WM5 consists of a 5.6” display platform, a wireless module containing ECG, respiration, and temperature, a set of limb lead and rectal probe, and a set of limb plates.

Wireless Module
4.3 x 2.5 x 0.9 inches (110 x 63 x 22 mm)

I. Wireless Monitoring

Limb Lead and Rectal Probe

To monitor a patient, wrap the limb lead on a front leg with the attached Velcro strip, insert the rectal probe and secure it to the tail base with self-adherent elastic gauze, and then attach the wireless module onto the patient’s body or rear leg and secure it with self-adherent elastic gauze. The display platform can be placed up to 60 feet (18 meters) away from the patient.

Upon applying the limb lead and rectal probe, the WM5 enters the monitoring mode, which displays one line of ECG, one line of respiratory waveforms, a heart rate, a respiratory rate, and a temperature reading, as shown in the top picture, and provides a heartbeat sound and a respiratory sound.

The WM5 saves registered waveforms, readings, and trend graphics on a USB flash drive. You may take the flash drive to a computer to transfer the saved data, compatible with all practice management software systems, and print out a monitoring report through any office printer.

II. Wireless ECG Screening

ECG Screening Mode

Limb Plates

The WM5 is also designed for ECG screening. Upon applying the three limb plates onto the patient, the WM5 enters the ECG screening mode, which displays cascaded three lines of ECG on one screen, as shown above, and saves all registered ECG on a USB flash drive. You can transfer the saved ECG to your computer, review them, and print out through any office printer. You can also save the ECG to your patient database under your existing practice management software system.

III. Wireless Connection with VetSpecs® Capno-M

When Linked with the Capno-M

VetSpecs® Capno-M

When the WM5 is not used for vital signs monitoring or ECG screening, the display platform may be linked with the VetSpecs® Capno-M via Bluetooth to display the following information, as shown above, provide a respiratory sound, and save the waveforms, readings, and trend graphics on a USB flash drive for digital documentation and printing out a monitoring report.

  • CO2 Waveforms
  • End-tidal CO2 (EtCO2)
  • Fractional Inspired CO2 (FiCO2)
  • Respiratory Rate (RR)
  • Trend Graphics for EtCO2 and RR
